It is believed that Rockie was born 6/14/2003 in Mesa, Arizona (by a company called Medtronic). Rockie was diagnosed with fibrosarcoma tumor and had his left hind leg amputated 8/2015. It was discovered on 2/14/2017 that Rockie’s cancer had returned, and he was euthanized 2/15/2017.
Rockie lived with me and my family of origin from 2003-2006. I moved out to an apartment in 2006 and Rockie lived with me there until 2008. While I was recovering from an illness I gave Rockie to my parents to care for. I asked for Rockie back in 2009, but my mom became so attached to him she requested to keep him. I reluctantly agreed. I visited him often and babysat him when my parents went out of town. The whole family loved Rockie.
We are not sure what breed Rockie was since he was a feral cat adoption. We conjecture that he was a Turkish Angora based on photographs and information from the Internet.
